a) Discuss your opinions and note down what you think makes a good script or good dialogue. If the script conveys the character and gives you a look into who they are and what they're like, then that's a good script. If the dialogue can keep you hooked, that's good too. Dialogue can be the main part of the film that holds it all together. You can reveal things about the plot using the script, or show you things about characters, either the one talking or if they're talking about someone else. In a script, you would normally have setup, conflict and a resolution. You can change parts of this, have the setup for a bit longer than usual, or have a bit of conflict while the resolution comes into play b) What are common ideas from the two articles? Goodfellas is clever and different to the normal ways scripts play out, as they take a twist on the traditional three-act structure (setup, conflict, resolution).
